Introduction to Rebuilding Generations and the “SARGE” 1965 Mustang GT Fastback Build

Centerforce Clutches has teamed up with Rebuilding Generations to build “SARGE”, a 1965 Mustang GT Fastback for our Plant Manager.

Rebuilding Generations is a program that bridges the gap between the young and older generations and the respect they have for one another. Too many young people these days look at the “older generation” and think that they don’t know anything and don’t understand today’s generation and modern technologies.

Then there is the “older generation” that looks at the youth and sees a lack of respect and personalization with always having their phone in their hands, texting, Facebooking, and Tweeting. With this program, Rebuilding Generations hopes the opportunity that the youth get to work side by side with the “Old Guys” will help them to realize what a wealth of knowledge and wisdom they have to offer not only in the automotive world, but in just plain old life experience.

Watch the founder of Rebuilding Generations Kevin Keep tell the story of how Rebuilding Generations came to be.

The “SARGE” 1965 Mustang Fastback will feature a 5.0 Liter V8 Ford Coyote Motor, Tremec 6 Speed Transmission and a Centerforce clutch. Other sponsors on board with the build are Optima Batteries, Dakota Digital, Drake Automotive, Eddie Motorsports, Flex-a-Lite, Ford Performance, I Did It Inc., Innovative Tools, Lincoln Electric, Lucas Oil, Magnaflow, Mastercraft Safety, Meguiar’s, NAPA Auto, Painless, Pioneer, PPG, TMI, Tremec, Baer Brakes, Currie Enterprises, MSD, Holley, DEI, Inland Empire Driveline, K&N Filters, Mear, Falken Tire, Ring Brothers, Chip Foose, Vintage Air, Detroit Speed.

Here is a rendering of “SARGE”, stay tuned for updates on the build until it debuts at the 2016 SEMA Show.
