Description

The Centerforce® II Clutch Series utilizes a full facing disc with premium friction material and a pressure plate with centrifugal weights (where applicable). Furthermore, static clamp load is increased via our patented machining processes; this combination allows superb holding power and maximum clutch life, making this clutch ideal for selected street/strip, off-road and towing applications. The Torque Figures for Centerforce II Pressure Plates are based and calculated in conjunction with a Centerforce I & II Clutch Disc.

This kit includes a billet steel inertia flywheel, which has added weight to increase the inertia of the engine. This extra inertia helps smooth rpm when negotiating difficult terrain and helps prevent stalling at slow speeds, which is particularly beneficial for off-road use and during normal city driving.

This kit further utilizes the Centerforce Internal Hydraulic Bearing Upgrade. The factory Jeep hydraulics package has a vague clutch pedal feel that many enthusiasts dislike, where there's not much pedal feedback as the clutch is engaged and disengaged. Our internal Hydraulic Bearing Upgrade simplifies the clutch actuation system by replacing the external slave, clutch fork, pivot ball, throwout bearing, and bearing collar with a simplified hydraulic bearing bearing that acts as the throwout bearing and slave all in one compact package. This kit provides a more traditional pedal feel that Jeep enthusiasts are used to along with eliminating potential sources of rattles, especially as the vehicle ages.
